This article discusses certain aspects of the appraisal of Bobbio’s theory on human rights occurring in Spanish legal philosophy. On the basis of the comments examined, the author highlights the peculiar character of Bobbio’s methodology and his efforts to single out a theoretical alternative between historicism and rationalism, relativism and universalism.
