FrancoAngeli is member of Publishers International Linking Association, Inc (PILA), a not-for-profit association which run the CrossRef service enabling links to and from online scholarly content.

In Italy, initiatives related to agriculture (such as urban agriculture and social farming), stemmed from the proactive role of civil society and aimed at satisfy community general interests, are rapidly spreading. These initiatives could be considered expression of the principle of horizontal subsidiarity, which lays down a legal obligation on Public Institutions to promote such initiatives [article 118 (4) Cost.]. The article analyzes two of the modalities of public intervention - economic and legal incentives, underling critical and potential aspects.
