The essay assesses the negative impact of the so-called "Salvini Decree" in matter of immigration and security on the migrants’ legal condition and the perspectives of socio-employment integration. After having framed the origin of the reform in the context of the recent tendencies of national migration policies, the Author critically examines two aspects of the legislative intervention: on the one hand, the amendments to the status of international protection and the removal of the residence permit of humanitarian reasons and, on the other hand, the reform of the reception system.
