A patient with a developmental history of neglect, who suffered from a traumatic life event and a concurrent severe eating disorder, has been treated with psychotherapy following an integrative approach. Over the course of therapy, many dissociative events have emerged as related to bulimic behaviors. A focus-based methodology has been integrated with experiential techniques.

Keywords: Integrated focal psychotherapy, cumulative trauma, dissociation, experiential techniques.
