In recent years, the institutional activity known as the Third Mission (TM) has become a strategic commitment for Italian universities. The University of Turin has collected the ministerial indications provided in this regard with proactive methods which have, in part, anticipated the cogency of integrating the TM into the tasks of the Departments. As part of this process, the research group called the Study Center for Rights and Independent Living, within the Department of Philosophy and Education Sciences, has developed extensive work, described in this contribution. In particular, the article illustrates the results of the first year (2023) in which a model of development and registration of TM in socio-pedagogical disciplines developed by the research group together with the University offices was systematically applied. The model developed by the Group constitutes a useful element as the University is called upon to adopt a holistic approach, working in close collaboration with civil society, public institutions, and the private sector to promote the well-being and development of the community.
