“Gratefulness” is a recently published text, one of the few available in Italian on this subject. Along a path of discovery with exercises and case studies, the possible integration between gratitude and mindfulness is deeply explored. A grateful attitude, enriched with meditative practice can positively transform the lives of people and communities. Gratefulness is not just a feeling, but a global attitude that starts from appreciation to lead to the choice to keep our attention mainly on what we have received, beyond the inevitable limits of every benefactor we encounter. Nobody’s perfect! Gratitude, in this sense, is a choice that improves interpersonal relationships and promotes social cohesion. The book introduces the concept of three-factor gratitude (the recipient, the gift, the benefactor) and two-factor gratitude (or gratefulness: the receiving subject and the gift, beyond its origin). We cannot know where many of the abundances in our lives come from.
