The degree in Communication Sciences has had a theoretical-methodological vocation from the beginning: to understand how languages work, in the media and in public discourses, applying to mass communications tools and methods applied until then to other fields of Culture: semiotics, sociology, psychology…. This analytical vocation is what frees the degree from the grip of forced actuality: of course, the degree observes the practices of the present, but it is not crushed by them, because its horizon is heuristic: to provide tools to read the complexity of communication in its various forms.
