Trying to collectively address the challenges facing the psychology profession in today’s healthcare field, including the need to connect theory and practice, the University Specialization Schools in Health Psychology have been engaged for several years in a process of discussion and collaboration, which is progressing toward the formalization of a national interuniversity agreement (Memorandum of Understanding, 2025). Respecting local cultures and histories, the aim is to define the theoretical and practical foundation of health psychology and strengthen professional guidance and presence in this field, through a process of aligning the training programs of the Schools. This is the context in which this article is proposed, a collaborative effort inspired by the Call for proposals “Territorial Psychology: An Integrated Network for Psychological Well-Being”. This offers us the opportunity to organize the experiences and insights that we, as School Directors, have developed in this field and discuss issues that remain open but are certainly evolving.
Keywords: psychological training, community care services, health psychology.
