This article presents a comment of Marina Caffiero’s book Storia degli ebrei nell’Italia moderna. Dal Rinascimento alla Restaurazione. I wish to emphasize the fertility of an historical approach replacing the history of the Jews in the general history of Italy, viewed in a global perspective.
