Care work, care of work. Rationales and objectives of the CARE4CARE – We Care of Those Who Care project. The essay introduces the research itinerary on the topic of paid care work, presenting the research conducted in the framework of the project CARE4CARE – We care for those who care funded by the European Commission within the Horizon Europe Programme. Moving from a reconstruction of the philosophical and sociological debate underlying the research, the Author frames paid care work within the framework of European social policies and highlights the contribution of the research to improving conditions for workers in the sector.
