Pain or better emotional distress is an experience that has to do with impossibility to communicate: one cannot "tell" and what one expresses in words, is not thorough. In these considerations I thought to tell my experience about the way to communicate the true meaning of the pain, giving voice to the protagonists, above all the children with whom I live most of the time. In the second part of the work I thought to report another aspect that is dear to me: the pain of silence. The main "pain" that someone experiences being near a person in a persistent vegetative state is to be unable to speak to him/her, to get in touch with him/her.
