The paper presents the topic of cyber-security in a sociological perspective. The issue of cyber-security has traditionally been framed in relation to the concept of privacy and protection of data and information. The sociological interpretation of cyber-security highlights that the concept of risk and the dynamics of interaction between people and computer-mediated communication are a relatively new area of study. This framework requires an appropriate theoretical and methodological framework, as well as a normative and legislative framework capable of analyzing continuous technological changes. In this regard, the need for coherent analysis on the national and European level emerges.
Keywords: Sociology; security; cyber.
