The present contribution aims to investigate the correlation between the per-ception of well-being and the existence of cultural resources referable to the con-cept of social capital. The problem is to understand if cultural participation can contribute to subjective well-being. The data we collected confirm that members of cultural associations possess high levels of social capital, which is positively correlated with cultural participation. With respect to the perception of well-being, it can be argued that, while the level of satisfaction with one’s life correlates with the socio-cultural expectations met, personal fulfillment is more closely linked to hu-man capital.

Keywords: Culture, well-being, social capital, associations, satisfaction for life, self-fulfillment.
