The authors describe a home visiting program, which takes place since a few years in Milan, oriented to sustain mother (and father if present) child relation, in risk conditions. They specifically describe the interventions in case of adolescent mothers, both Italian and immigrant, paying attention to the difficult connection between adolescent condition, still in progress, and child’s needs. They also discuss clinical supervision, which takes place monthly, as developed in infant observation groups, to provide a place where emotions can be shared and become mentalized
