The contribution of the EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy to the field of trauma has been significant. According to research and international guidelines, EMDR therapy can provide a great contribution to populations exposed to traumatic experiences. For this reason, after the beginning of the war in Ukraine, it was important to integrate EMDR in the psychosocial support initiatives being implemented in the different countries with Ukrainian refugees. The EMDR protocol has been appropriately adapted and integrated while working in unstable conditions, with different populations exposed to different situations created by the war.

Keywords: war trauma, interventions with refugees, EMDR therapy, prevention, resilience.
