The need to be able to contain births causes the creation of various contraceptive methods, but the access to them is often limited to women/couples who live permanently in countries where there is a good chance to access community health services. Due to lack of health services that can take charge of contraception issues, women may be tempted to resort to archaic methods of contraception. Immigrant women may find hard to access health services in our country, so they can recur to abnormal forms of contraception. We report the case of matching drawstring filament in the uterine cavity, probably to create a chronic inflammation induced by endometrium for contraception purpose.
Keywords: Contraception, family planning, isteroscopia, immigrants’ health, intrauterine device, uterine flogosi.
