In this paper, authors discuss a methodological proposal of Psychological Scaffolding to the Doctor-Patient Relationship in Pediatric Endocrinology. Furthermore, authors define some criteria that they believe as useful for the realization of the Joint Listening Settings (JLS). These setting are labored to involved, during visits, the presence of pediatricians, psychologists and families; in facts, they are founded to promote a mutual recognition of roles, experiences and meanings proposed by participants at the visit to discuss them each other. Finally, authors also propose some specific functions of these settings, that can facilitate the dialogue, the understanding of the diagnosis, the expression of concerns and a shared decision making process during the care.
