Between the Five days of Milan and the return of Austrian Empire, a lot of periodic publications rise in Lombardy. In Monza and in the rest of Brianza we have «Il Bri anteo». Its fundamental aim is to guide the local public opinion in favour of the national movement and the politics of the Government of Milan. We can distinguish two areas of action: the area of the emotional consent, characterized by suggestive imagines able to touch the heart of the readers; and the area of politics consent that sees the paper to side with the Government in support of the fusion with Piedmont and against the peasant revolts in April-May 1848.
