Forced to lock their doors, each institution has been suddenly pushed to the digital dimension in order to maintain the relationship with publics. This paper ana-lyzes the two side issues: museum working on their own mission, through the known data, and on the public; this last topic is not irrelevant: is it really possible to build a relationship without the physical presence of the object itself? And what kind of value and narrative does it take? Arguments and hypotheses are illustrated trough real examples and recent bibliography.
