The following reflection aims to narrate the phenomenon of international human mobility on the case of the Ukrainian emergency: a circumstance that has seen women and mothers play a prominent role in the flows from Ukraine over the past two years. These arrivals have been answered by reception practices, also being characterised by a strong female protagonism, based on networks, synergies and alliances among women. The contribution draws on data from empirical research conducted in 2023 in the city of Florence.
