The contribution intends to offer a biography of Dina Bertoni Jovine (1898-1970), primary school teacher, university professor, historian, pedagogist, feminist and leader of the Italian Communist Party. The article focuses on the intellectual education of Dina Bertoni Jovine and on her political choice; on the theoretical commitment she carried out among the Italian Marxists, in the Italian Women’s Movement and in the Italian Communist Party; on her cultural activity and scientific production of the 1950s and 1960s.
