Since 1982, after the promulgation of the law n. 164 of April 14th, sex reassignment, for people who request of correction of assignment of sex, makes it completely legal. As low foresees, sex reassignment surgery is a compulsory step to obtain rectification of personal data. Objective of this work is to analyze some aspects of law 164/1982 and the procedure of its enforcement from Italians Courts. Key words: transsexualism, law 164/82, sex reassignment
