The theme of homosexual parenting is causing particular discussion at socio-political level within the Italian State. Attention to this theme is born of the visibility that the theme of homosexual parenting have in our society, through legislative measures that are conducive to emancipation and socio-legal inclusion. Our bibliographic research (which has no claim of exhaustion) aimed to create a space of study and reflection through the study and comparison of internationally-oriented research on the subject. It intended to prove the mistake of injury on homosexual parenting seen as abuse in child development: Homosexuals are as competent as heterosexuals and parents’ sexual orientation does not have adverse effects on the development of children.

Keywords: Homosexual parenting, psychosocial development, psychosexual development, parenting heterosexual, same-sex parenting.
