Some collections of uses and customs published by the Italian chambers of commerce include hunting rules concerning issues related to the ownership of the prey and to the sharing between hunters. The essay puts these rules in the context of literary and anthropological sources relative to hunting. Furthermore, it explores the role of spontaneous hunting customs within the Italian state law.
