Encarnación La Spina’s recent book La vulnerabilidad de las personas refugiadas ante el reto de la integración, Cizur Menor: Aranzadi, 2020) takes into consideration a specific aspect of the current migration flow to Europe: the need to adapt the legal rules to the specific vulnerabilities characterizing refugees. The present undifferentiated terminology concerning migrants in the law and judgements should be replaced by paying greater attention to the specific needs of vulnerable refugees, e.g., by distinguishing between their reception on the spot and their long-term integration.
