The paper analyses insolvency in public residential housing through the case of Acer Ferrara, highlighting the structural causes of the phenomenon and its social impact. The research, based on quantitative and qualitative data, shows how job insecurity, economic fragility and lack of social support fuel insolvency. Management strategies and proximity policies to mitigate the problem are discussed, highlighting the need for a more inclusive housing welfare.
