Surgery approach by nerve sparing technique causes a minor damage in cavernous nerves without assuring erectile function. It has been observed that patients experience sexual disorder as a threat against their male identity. The aim of this study is to evaluate the efficacy of a psycho-educational group intervention for patient treated by radical laparoscopic robot-assisted prostatectomy nerve sparing by considering two levels: sexual function and sexual satisfaction. The intervention consisted in 8 encounters. As a pre and post test questionnaires SESAMO and IIEF were used. This study enrolled 60 patients. SESAMO results showed a general decrease of sexual-relational difficulties reported before the intervention. IIEFQ results showed that the Desire scores in the psycho educational group, increases similarly as before surgery. Data showed a global effect on both socio-relational and sexual aspects.
