The existence of complex ethnosemantic features related to migrants’ health and illness requires continuous reflection around the care provided by Italian health professionals. It is through the language of grief that these population groups express their psychical and physical suffering, which should be conceived in the framework of their social, cultural, historical and political context in order to be understood and managed.
