The research investigated a specific context of intercultural coexistence, that of regional trains operating on the Florence SMN-Arezzo-Florence SMN section. The subject of research were the conversations, the interactions (verbal, paraverbal and non-verbal) and the spatial positioning assumed between the FS professionals (controllers, cleaners, conductors, reception staff) and some immigrant travelers (mainly North African) who, daily, travel the indicated railway route.
