Health promotion in the adolescent population aims to support their growth path and ability to make conscious decisions about their well-being. Sexually Transmitted Infections are continually growing and particularly affect the physical and psychological health of young people, who in their adolescence tend to engage in risky behaviors that can compromise their physical, psychological and relational well-being. This project for the promotion of the prevention of Sexually Transmitted Infections in adolescents has been structured as an “inclusive” sexual health education path to activate the empowerment of young people, helping them to improve the understanding of their own behaviors and achieve their goals of development without endangering one’s well-being and health. The results are encouraging. There was an increase in the percentage of students who gave correct answers about sexually transmitted infections as well as an increase in awareness about correct behavior and the degree of comfort and self-determination in dealing with sexual issues at school. These results can also be valuable for the purposes of consolidating the continuous inclusion of health professionals in school settings.
