This article argues the specificity of adoptive adolescence through discussion of some clinical cases. In terms of parenting will be analyzed the importance of identifying, with the passage of time, "the truth narrated" and the fundamental role of reflective function as an opportunity to evolve mental models of attachment of the child. The role of the therapist will be presented, such as help to the family in connecting the "before" and "after", and in tracing the family history in search of a plot.

Keywords: Adoptive adolescence, truth narrated, reflective function, plot.
