The author discusses some questions posed by Seligman through a theoretical description of the assumptions of systemic and complex thought. The article asks some questions and provides brief discussions of the concepts of uncertainty, subjectivity and dialogics of the knowing process, non-linearity, coevolution of living systems, perturbation and more. All this is discussed with wideranging attention to clinical concepts such as transference, countertransference, unsaturated interpretations, setting and creativity. Despite the title, the epistemological climate is not related to a paean to uncertainty and chaos but, as Morin says, it intends to convey the idea that complexity is not an enemy of clarity, order, determinism but it knows they are insufficient.
