The author proposes a critical reflection on the topic of scale for the innovation of the relationships between urbanism, architectural, landscape policies and planning. In this essay, the author claims that a dynamic interpretation of multiscalarity as interpretative lens and as a previsional tool, in a time of deep attention to the ecological and landscape sensitive approaches in planning process, is fundamental to re-think the urban planning project of contemporaneity.
