The contribution analyzes the recent ruling issued by the Court of Rome known as the “Giudizio Universale” (Universal Judgment), also in light of the decision of the Strasbourg Court in the case KlimaSeniorinnen v. Switzerland, in order to highlight the difficulties in challenging the inertia of States in implementing measures to counteract the natural changes caused by global warming and, therefore, the resulting climate change.
