The article examines how, between 1970 and 1975, the Italian revolutionary left – particularly the groups Lotta continua and Potere operaio – redefined internationalism by foregrounding the agency of immigrant workers in Italy and across Europe. Drawing on press sources and archival materials, it reconstructs the networks of exchange established with various foreign radical groups, highlighting the limits, ambitions, and theoretical legacy of a radical transnational political project articulated on a transnational scale.
