Through the personal files of Jewish women interned in Fascist women’s camps, the article investigates the condition of these women within the internment facilities, the differences and similarities with male internment, the intertwining of sexism and racism that characterised their imprisonment, and what happened to them when Fascist anti-Jewish policy merged with the Nazi “final solution”.
