This paper aims at highlighting the sustainability, and in case, the sense we can give today to the term adolescence in the light of the changes recorded in theories of development and their theoretical models. In particular reference is made to the passage from "bow" to "arrow" models, from maturational and naturalistic models to relational and context models of development trying to locate adolescence in these new models.
