Starting from a research on the eco-museums today existing in Italy, directed by the author and conducted by a group of students of the Scuola di Specializzazione in Beni Architettonici e del Paesaggio of the Politecnico di Milano, the article proposes some reflections on the Italian eco-museums, regarding the regulatory framework, territorial networks and national coordinating projects. A heterogeneous landscape emerges on the subject.
