The paper aims to forge the intellectual and personal relationship the author had with Giovanni Liotti, by celebrating experiences of a long friendship. It aims also at highlighting some common research themes between the author and Giovanni Liotti, in particular focusing on attachment topics. Towards the conclusion of the article some critical remarks on the relational turn of cognitive therapy are provided.
