The essay offers an analysis of the way to finance the services of waste collec-tion. The services have been financed by taxation for years, but now they could be covered by fees, which appear the proper system to produce services of eco-nomic interest, as such services are considered. The essay is based on an exam of the European and national laws regarding this economic and environmental matter.
