Psychopathy is a serious and dangerous pathology of the personality that has long been the subject of interest and study by clinicians and researchers. Some film characters have provided us with models, such as Phillips’ Joker, based on the DC Comics’ homonym character. Between diagnosis and horror, Joker’s story raises concerns about the human soul which is difficult to ignore.
