The article analyzes the phenomenon of child poverty in its multidimensionali-ty, presenting data on the Italian situation in a comparative European perspective. The analytical perspective adopted conceives child poverty as a form extreme inequality and reflects on the role of social policies in the minor context in combating inequalities.
