This paper addresses Magnaghi’s influence in Latin America, beginning with the contributions of the new municipality and territorialist urbanism, and continuing with the contributions generated from local self-sustainable development. The influence of the territorialist approach to heritage is analysed and also the results of the international cooperation of the Territorialist School, the contributions to the question of indigenous peoples and the consciousness of place in Latin America and Spain.
