The paper examines the evolution of the legal jurisprudence and doctrine, aimed, first of all, at giving importance to the value of the person in the employment relationship; then, at recognizing compensation for all damages caused by work. The analysis is carried out critically, considering the perspective of private law and labour law, giving account of how they often mutually influenced each other.
