The article examines the relationship between digitization processes and advancing age from multiple perspectives, including representations of the elderly and reflections on policies. It presents the results of research carried out using a mixed-methods approach, which explored issues related to knowledge and skills in the use of ICT, the challenges of digital media, and the resources to address them. In particular, the analysis of 18 interviews with individuals over 65 revealed a significant and widespread use of digital technologies and tools, including accessing services, facilitated by specific factors such as intergenerational support and skills acquired during one's working life. The analysis also addresses the link between digitization and ageing in relation to critical issues such as the digital divide.
Keywords: ageing; ICT; digital skills; digital divides; policy; challenges.
