Of the IIPR’s 50 years, the Author experienced approximately 25 firsthand as a student, student-teacher, and then as a teacher and supervisor. Within the IIPR Resources, with the support of a group of systemic colleagues, the Author coordinates the Pathological Addictions Area, aimed at study, research, teaching, intervision, and clinical work with patients and their families suffering from this complex syndrome, from a systemic perspective. The Addictions Area is conceived as a living and dynamic space within the IIPR, continually open to new possibilities. Collaboration with the Research Area has led to important objectives such as research studies, reports and conferences, and scientific publications. This article will illustrate this intriguing work of interconnection between professionals within the IIPR who deal with this issue or are interested in it.
