The uniform accessibility of health services, as well as their high quality, in terms of treatment effectiveness and user satisfaction, are the primary aims of the Italian National Health Service (NHS). Healthcare mobility is patients’ migratory phenomenon who use health services far from their area of residence. The analysis of these flows involves aspects concerning the quality of services(real/perceived), equity of access to care, and it has important economic implications.
