In recent years, the recovery paradigm has gradually changed the approach to substance use disorders, focusing interventions not just on reducing or stopping use, but also on promoting independence, self-efficacy, and quality of life.
The work describes the design, feasibility, and preliminary outcomes of a psychoeducational intervention focused on personal recovery carried out at the Gazzaniga Addiction Service (BG).
The intervention proved to be feasible and well-received by the participants.
Although the small sample size and the lack of a control group prevent drawing conclusions about its effectiveness, the preliminary results suggest that a recovery-oriented psychoeducational program could be a useful complement to individual treatments in Addiction Service.
