In recent years, mapping ecosystem services has increasingly emerged as an assessment approach to support the design of ecological-environmental infrastructures, with a multi-scalar and multi-functional character, capable of integrating environmental sustainability and resilience objectives in regional and landscape planning processes. This article delves into outcomes of the ‘ReLambro se’ project concerning the application of an ‘ecosystem-based’ methodology in the construction of a green and blue infrastructure connoted by strategic-planning actions based on the soil ecosystem vocations and aimed at creating ecologically oriented landscapes and productive agricultural areas adaptive to climate change to protect natural capital.
